Spring 2023 Update – June Youth Classes!

With the increase of daylight hours, the club is back to meeting three times a week and our soon to be second year paddlers are showing great progress, as our new adult paddlers, too. The club will be looking to purchase at least two new “beginner” boats in the coming months and will have some fundraising activities to cover these costs.

We are looking to host a club race in the Channel Islands Harbor in the coming months, and also hope to make a weekend trip to visit the San Diego Canoe/Kayak Team on Fiesta Island for a weekend of paddling.

As the water warms up, now is also the time to recruit new club members, especially youth in the area that are looking for a new challenge. We will have a four session class in June for youth in the area to sign up for and give sprint canoe and kayak a try. We will limit the size of this class to not more than 8, so if interested, please sign up today! (We’ll take a waiting list, too.)

The cost for all four classes will be only $40. We hope to get several new members through this class just as we did last year.
