The Sprint Canoe and Kayak National Championships will be held in Clermont, Florida, hosted by the South Florida Canoe and Kayak Club. This will be the first time the Nationals have been held in Florida, much less at this venue. Details about the Nationals may be found at the 2017 Sprint Nationals site.
The Ventura Olympic Canoe Club has secured housing for the event thanks to our friends at the Washington Canoe Club. We’ll be in cabins at Lake Louisa State Park, housed next to our friends from the WCC.
In preparation for this year’s event, we’ve updated our boat numbers to fit with the newer guidelines, too. Numbers used to be required to be black on yellow, but today’s requirements are for them to be black on white. We’ve had three sets of lane numbers “printed” and really pleased with how they look.
